Five County Association of Governments is seeking a Weatherization Technician to help improve the comfort, safety, and energy efficiency of homes across our communities. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem solving, and helping local families reduce energy costs.

What You'll Do
As a Weatherization Technician, you will work in homes throughout the region installing energy-saving improvements and performing weatherization upgrades.
Key responsibilities include:
Install insulation, air sealing materials, and weather-stripping
Seal ductwork and improve heating and cooling efficiency
Identify and repair air leaks in homes using diagnostic tools such as a blower door
Install energy-saving devices such as:
- Low-flow showerheads
- Faucet aerators
- Efficient lighting
Install vapor barriers and insulation in crawl spaces, attics, and walls
Repair drywall, plaster, and window glazing as needed
Safely operate insulation blowing machines and other equipment
Follow safety procedures and maintain quality workmanship on every project

What We're Looking For
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Utah driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in physically active environments
Preferred
- 3+ years of construction, weatherization, or home repair experience
- Experience with insulation, carpentry, HVAC, or energy efficiency work
- Ability to use common hand and power tools
Work Environment
This position involves hands-on field work in a variety of residential settings.
Employees should be comfortable:
- Working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Climbing, kneeling, bending, and working in attics or crawl spaces
- Being exposed to dust, insulation materials, and construction environments
