Overview of the Role
An automotive service technician Level B is tasked with performing skilled maintenance and repair work on vehicles. This position requires a combination of technical expertise and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Perform general automotive repairs, including:
- Brakes, steering, and suspension
- Cooling system service and repairs
- Replacement of major components (internal engine repairs/head gaskets)
- Tire installation, balancing, and alignments
Document findings, recommendations, and completed work accurately.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Uphold customer service standards by ensuring vehicles are returned in top condition.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in automotive repair or equivalent training.
- Mechanical Knowledge: Understanding of vehicle systems and repair processes.
- Independence: Ability to handle most repairs without supervision.
- Communication Skills: Capable of documenting work and interacting with office staff and management.
- Tools: Must own professional-grade tools necessary for daily tasks. All specialty tools are provided by the shop.
- Driver's License: Valid license with a clean driving record.
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Problem-solving abilities to identify issues and propose solutions.
- Attention to detail and time management skills.
- Positive attitude and teamwork orientation.
