Position Title:Parts Room Attendant
Location:
St. Charles, MO
Primary Responsibilities:
TheParts Room Attendant is responsible for managing the inventory of parts and supplies in the Parts Room, ensuring accurate records, and supporting the maintenance and operations teams by providing necessary parts in a timely manner. This role involves receiving, storing, and issuing parts, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring the parts room is organized and efficient.
In addition to core responsibilities, this position supports overall operational needs by assisting in other areas when required, including material handling, shipping and receiving, and parts delivery or driving duties. The Parts Room Attendant works collaboratively across departments to help maintain workflow efficiency and meet production demands.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming parts and supplies against purchase orders for accuracy and quality.
- Enter and maintain accurate parts data within the inventory management system.
- Monitor stock levels, track locations, and maintain detailed transaction records.
- Conduct routine cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure accuracy and accountability.
- Organize, label, and store parts systematically for efficient retrieval.
- Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and safety within the parts room.
- Issue and track parts provided to maintenance and operations teams.
- Process returned parts and update inventory records accordingly.
- Assist team members in identifying, locating, and confirming parts availability.
- Generate inventory and usage reports as needed.
- Submit purchase requisitions and coordinate replacement part orders when required.
- Support material handling, shipping and receiving, and parts delivery/driving duties as operational needs require.
- Follow all company inventory control procedures, safety standards, and policies.
- Support overall operational needs by assisting other departments as required.
- Provide material handling support, including moving and staging parts or supplies.
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities during peak workloads or staff absences.
- Perform parts delivery and driving duties as needed to support production and service timelines.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
High School diploma or equivalent.
1-3 years Purchasing and/or Inventory transaction experience in a manufacturing environment or retail trailer/automotive service role.
Minimum 1 year of forklift and material handling experience.
Ability to drive a forklift.
Knowledgeable of Cycle Counts and Physical Inventory processing.
Ability to provide excellent Customer Service to internal and external customers.
Strong ability to multi-task and problem solves in a fast-paced environment.
