ST CHARLES COUNTY GOVERNMENT Parks and Recreation Intern in Saint Charles, Missouri
JOB DESCRIPTION: This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain an understanding of the operations of a Parks and Recreation Department. The intern will participate in a rotational program, spending one week in each division. This experience will provide exposure to administrative functions, field operations, resource management, recreational programming, and historical preservation. The intern will shadow staff, assist with daily tasks, and contribute to ongoing projects, developing a well-rounded perspective.
Goals and Learning Outcomes 1. Gain a comprehensive understanding of Parks and Recreation Operations. 2. Develop practical skills in diverse fields. 3. Enhance Communication and interpersonal skills. 4. Explore career paths in Parks and Recreation. 5. Contribute to the department's mission and community impact.
REQUIREMENTS: Currently enrolled in a Parks and Recreation educational field. Enthusiasm for learning and adaptability to changing environments.
This is a summer internship position working approximately 40 hours per week.
