ST CHARLES COUNTY GOVERNMENT Legal Intern / Prosecuting Attorney's Office in Saint Charles, Missouri

The St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorneys Office will be looking for two summer legal interns. The individuals selected will preferably be able to work 28-32 hours per week. The work schedule will be for 9 to 10 weeks during summer. This position will run from mid-May to early August 2025.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The purpose of this internship is to offer an opportunity to obtain experience handling various court hearings, pleas, sentencing and trials under the supervision of licensed attorneys. Our intention is to provide selected students with experience to reinforce their course work and provide an opportunity to explore a career with the St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorneys Office and government service.

Perform legal research, draft legal documents, and memoranda under the supervision of licensed attorneys. Assist in dockets and prepare legal memorandums. Perform various clerical functions.

REQUIREMENTS: Seeking a law student who possesses a bachelors degree and has completed at least three semesters of law school by the start of the internship. Eligibility for Rule 13 practice is required. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have a valid drivers license and satisfactory driving record. Employment is contingent on successfully passing a full criminal background check.
