Job Title: Quality Assurance Coordinator
Job Description
Manage laboratory operations to ensure the quality of analyses, customer satisfaction, and compliance with organizational protocols. Responsible for maintaining ongoing compliance with relevant regulations, regulatory, and accrediting entities. Provide technical advice to both the laboratory and clients.
Responsibilities
Supervise all laboratory personnel, including performance evaluations, development, and disciplinary actions.
Ensure the implementation and monitoring of an effective quality management system.
Maintain an adequate number of trained and qualified personnel.
Deliver results within specified timeframes to customers, ensuring high quality.
Maintain a safe laboratory environment.
Ensure compliance with current procedures and instructions, following the accreditation guidelines.
Propose improvements in techniques, analyses, and procedures under the concept of continuous improvement.
Report and resolve nonconformities and take corrective actions as necessary.
Coordinate annual competency evaluations and measure uncertainty.
Ensure proper use of software and handling of confidential information.
Implement and use hygiene and sanitation procedures effectively.
Conduct internal audits to comply with accrediting body requirements.
Review and update the scope of accreditation as necessary.
Respond to customer complaints and manage feedback.
Conduct an annual Management Review covering all required aspects.
Implement actions to correct operational deviations and prevent nonconformities.
Authorize work resumption following stoppages.
Control document revisions.
Assess and document laboratory-associated risks.
Communicate with customers daily.
Verify training effectiveness and authorize laboratory personnel for specified functions.
Coordinate with the IT department on technical issues.
Order and coordinate proficiency testing.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, or Molecular Biology.
2 years of experience supervising a microbiology or molecular laboratory.
2 years of experience overseeing a quality management system.
Advanced knowledge in molecular biology and microbiology.
Intermediate knowledge of internal audits and training.

This is a Permanent position based out of Saint Charles, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
