Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for Aircraft Systems Mechanic Level 2/3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our E-2D Manufacturing and Production Organization. This role will be located on site in Saint Augustine, Florida.
This role is for a hands-on person with great attention to detail, top focus on quality and the ability to interface with multiple teams.
Essential Functions:
Troubleshoots, repairs and services aircraft and engine systems.
Read and interpret blueprints.
Assemble and install hydraulic systems.
Conduct diagnosis of malfunctions
Perform maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re-assembly or adjustment of various aircraft systems in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions.
Able to obtain half & full-face respirator certification.
Daily usage of manufacturing shop controls and systems
Use of appropriate PPE when working on the shop floor
Recommend and implement continuous improvement activities in production methods, equipment performance and team effectiveness.
Work and communicate over ambient noise
Work in a variety of work spaces/positions. Work spaces may include but are not limited to small, enclosed spaces, awkward, and elevated spaces. Positions may include bending, twisting, kneeling, crawling, ascending/descending ladders, and/or working overhead.
Ability to work flexible, changing shifts, including weekends
Potential Shifts:
6 am - 4:30 pm (M-Th 4x10s)
4:30 pm - 3 am (M-Th 4x10s)
2 am - 12:30 pm (M-Th 4x10s)
6 am - 6:30 pm (Fr-Sun 3x12s)

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities:
This role will be filled as either a level 2 or level 3 Aircraft Mechanic based on the relevant experience defined below.
Basic Qualifications Level 2:
High School Diploma or GED and 2 years' experience with engine/hydraulic parts, assemblies, components, and systems in an aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing and/or maintenance environment​
Must be able to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working overhead.
Must be able to access small, confined spaces and work in an enclosed environment.
The ability to pass Medical/Respiratory Exam.
The ability to work any work schedule.
Ability to obtain and maintain Secret DOD clearance in a reasonable amount of time as required by the business.

Primary Level Salary Range: $48,400.00 - $80,600.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $57,500.00 - $95,900.00
