The Technical Product Manager is responsible for overseeing the full software development lifecycle for assigned products, in support of the VA Office of Connected Care.
This position will a fully remote position located within the United States.
Responsibilities
Manage the full software development process lifecycle for assigned product(s)
Facilitate strategy and prioritization discussions
Transform high-level vision into detailed action plans
Build and maintain the product roadmap, ensuring prioritization aligns with customer needs, technical feasibility and stakeholder input.
Collaborate with engineering, design, data, QA and operations teams to ensure product quality and delivery.
Lead and/or support sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint review and retrospective sessions in partnership with the development team(s).
Ensure continuous communication across cross-functional teams to remove blockers, track progress, and maintain alignment.
Partner with data teams to analyze product usage, optimize user experience, and define KPIs
Use Scrum Master experience or knowledge to foster agile best practices, improve team velocity and drive execution discipline.
Consult and coordinate with experts and cross-disciplinary teams to conduct discovery and establish clear requirements that meet user needs
Manage multiple projects, to include planning, risk management and mitigation, training and communication, regular status reporting, and associated documentation
Lead and participate in dynamic meetings with cross-functional teams, orchestrating discussions and ensuring clear objectives are met
Conceptualize, analyze, and advise clients on solution options to achieve their objectives
Work closely with strategic delivery partners, subcontractors, and vendors
Coordinate efforts across numerous teams through frequent and effective communication
Qualifications
Requ ired Skills and Experience
Bachelor's with 8+ years (or commensurate experience)
You have at least 7 years of experience applying product and/or or project management principles in a healthcare and/or technical environment.
You’ll be responsible for managing a product, or a suite of products from requirements gathering through the testing and production release cycle.
You have helped build products or complex feature sets from the ground up, organizing efforts to incrementally deliver on product direction and goals.
You have excellent presentation skills to include building slide decks and effective communication with executive leadership.
You are strong in Agile Project Management methodologies and procedures.
You are proficient in use of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Agile Tools such as Jira.
You have a bachelor’s degree, and preferably also a master’s and/or applicable certifications (PMP, ITIL, SAFe Agile).
Clearance Required: Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance
Preferred Skills and Experience
You can articulate the difference between product and project management and provide concrete examples of both.
You possess strong emotional intelligence, enabling you to tailor your communication style and convey technical concepts across interdisciplinary teams.
Prior experience working with or delivering solutions on the Appian platform.
Posted Salary Range
USD $150,000.00 - USD $160,000.00 /Yr.
