Dignity Health Radiologic Technologist in Sacramento, California

Job Summary and Responsibilities

The incumbent performs routine and complex diagnostic imaging procedures according to the written or transcribed verbal orders and within the scope of his or her Certification at all MHS imaging facilities. Provides advanced support and training for other technologists; coordinates schedules, workload assignments for shift operations, and procedural supply inventories. Demonstrates competency in patient care for neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. May have access to or be required to distribute drugs, needles or syringes from storage locations, (such as large stock supplies, automated dispensing units and other carts) to/within patient care areas or treatment carts as defined by hospital policy/procedure.

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions. Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction. To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.

Job Requirements

  • Leadership responsibility.

  • Medical Radiographer: CA.

  • Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.

  • Fluoroscopy Radiology Tech: CA.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology/anatomy.

  • Working knowledge of radiation producing equipment.

  • Proper judgment in minimizing radiation dosages.

Pay Range

$67.05 - $67.05 /hour
