Kelly Services Facility Security Specialist (Oil and Gas) in Sabine Pass, Texas
Kelly is seeking a skilled Facility Security Specialist to support a top petro chemical client’s Export/Import Terminal Facilities, LNG Stabilization & Liquefaction Trains, and Pipeline Facilities in Sabine Pass, TX. This high-visibility role is vital to maintaining compliance with strict security polices, procedures, and regulatory directives.
Location: Sabine Pass, TX – Local candidates only
Pay Rate: Up to $45/hour (DOE)
Schedule:
Flexible with regular overtime (weekday and weekend callouts; M-F base schedule)
Efforts underway for rotation schedule
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement security procedures compliant with MTSA and industry best practices.
Manage day-to-day security, focusing on guardforce management and operations.
Monitor and report on security policy enforcement, respond to incidents, and process administrative inquiries and security reporting.
Maintain compliance records for audit by US government representatives.
Operate, calibrate, and maintain security equipment (Lenel system expertise required).
Participate in emergency drills and activities; provide basic First Aid, CPR, and AED as required.
Safeguard physical property, staff, visitors’ property, and facilities from threats (sabotage, theft, unauthorized entry, etc.).
Ensure security awareness and provide adequate training to security personnel.
Support the SSHE organization with additional security-related needs.
Required Experience and Skills:
Minimum 5+ years in Security, Safety, Environmental, Health &/or Regulatory Compliance in Oil & Gas industry.
Knowledge of security regulations (USCG, DHS, TWIC, PHMSA) preferred.
Strong facility security officer (FSO) background strongly preferred.
Contract security management experience – specifically related to O&G industry and Coast Guard requirements.
Lenel System proficiency (ability to generate reports and optimize usage).
Familiarity with TWIC-regulated facilities; TWIC preferred or willing to obtain.
Valid state-issued driver’s license; must be able to drive company vehicles/UTVs.
Excellent communication (written, verbal, and interpersonal) and organizational skills.
Confident, able to take initiative and work both independently and as part of a team.
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Additional Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, military and/or law enforcement background.
Facility Security Officer (FSO) certification.
Experience managing contract or guardforce security.
