DESCRIPTION:
As a Sr Inventory Coordinator at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you'll contribute to maintaining accurate inventory management and ensuring smooth operations that support our mission of making the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. Working within Unity Lab Services, you'll manage inventory control activities at various locations, focusing on precise stock management and exceptional service delivery. You'll handle program replenishments, cycle counts, order processing, and inventory reconciliation while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. This position offers opportunities to implement process improvements and collaborate across departments to optimize inventory operations.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 2 years of inventory management or warehouse operations experience
• Preferred Fields of Study: Supply Chain, Business, or related field
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP) are a plus
• Strong proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Demonstrated ability to operate handheld scanners and inventory management systems
• Experience with cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, and report generation
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for investigating discrepancies
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Ability to lift/push/pull 30-40 pounds regularly, up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Experience operating material handling equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts)
• Detail-oriented with high accuracy in data entry and record keeping
• Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Willingness to work in various environments including cold rooms and warehouses
• Knowledge of safety protocols and GMP standards
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and work in temperature-controlled environments
• Must be able to wear required PPE including safety shoes, lab coats, and other protective equipment as needed
