Job Title: Welder
Job Description
Join our pre-fabrication shop to weld frames for modular units. You'll be engaging in MIG and fluxcore welding on steel, interpreting blueprints, and performing flat or horizontal welding with occasional vertical welding tasks. Precision is key as you'll control AMP and tolerances to ensure clean and strong welds. Additional responsibilities include cutting materials, reading tape measures, and using grinders to finish welds.
Responsibilities
Perform MIG and fluxcore welding on steel materials.
Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
Execute flat and horizontal welding, with occasional vertical welding.
Control AMP and tolerances for high-quality welds.
Cut materials and use grinders to finish welds.
Read tape measures and apply appropriate measurements.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in MIG and fluxcore welding.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent math and measuring skills.
Capability to read a ruler to 1/16 of an inch.
Knowledge of hand and power tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
TIG/Stick welding experience is preferred.
Ability to fit materials and structures is preferred.
Experience with wire diagrams and written instructions.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly.
Ownership and proficient use of basic hand tools.

Work Environment
Work in a fast-paced, repetitive, and construction-related pre-fabrication shop. Adhere to safety requirements by wearing steel-toe boots and safety glasses. The dress code includes long pants and a t-shirt. Work hours are Monday through Friday, with two shifts available: 6am-4:30pm (first shift) and 4pm-2am (second shift), with some weekends as requested. Enjoy a 30-minute lunch break.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ruther Glen, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
