*SUMMARY: *Troubleshoot and repair large mining equipment and work both in and out of the shop on equipment repairs. Operate and maintain a service truck, cut, and weld when needed. Must be willing to perform other duties as directed and work within Company and State environmental and safety policies. This position may require the chosen candidate to work within the lube shop, tire shop, diesel mechanic shop, and outside in field at any given time; based on business needs and the level of the individuals stage of progression. This job may require working holidays and working overtime.
MINIMUM/PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience on heavy equipment repair.
- Valid Drivers License.
- Good troubleshooting skills.
- Able to read and understand schematics, service manuals, and parts books.
- Able to operate all shop tools and equipment.
- Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred:Five (5) years experience on heavy equipment repair.
- Preferred:Strong background in Caterpillar and Komatsu equipment repairs
*JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: *
- Follow safe work procedures and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and repair large mining equipment and work both in and out of the shop on equipment repairs.
- Operate and maintain a service truck and supporting equipment.
- Cut and weld when needed.
- Read and understand schematics, service manuals, and parts books.
- Detailed communication, both written and verbal.
- Assist other departments as needed.
- Willingness to perform other duties as necessary to ensure the success of KGHM.
*WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: *
- Very Heavy: Exerting greater than 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or greater than 50 pounds of force frequently and/or greater than 20 pounds of force constantly. Physical demand requirements are greater than that required for Heavy Work.
