Job Description
Starting salary is based on steps 1-10 per MWTA Contract. Starting salary will be prorated.
Marcus Whitman CSD is seeking a dedicated and qualified TESOL teacher to provide English language instruction and support to multilingual learners. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to equity, cultural responsiveness, and helping students achieve English language proficiency while accessing academic content.
Responsibilities:
Plan, deliver, and assess instruction for English Language Learners (ELLs) aligned with NYSED ENL and TESOL standards (or applicable state standards).
Collaborate with classroom teachers to support language development across content areas.
Differentiate instruction based on students’ English proficiency levels and learning needs.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with families.
Participate in professional development and school/district initiatives related to multilingual learners.
