Siemens Energy Automation Engineer in Rural Hall, North Carolina
A Snapshot of Your Day
As the Automation Engineer, you will support the ThermalSpray & Robotics team by managing robotic systems, improving automatedmanufacturing processes, and enabling data‑driven decision‑making. Your daywill include hands‑on robot programming, process engineering, and developingautomation tools that enhance efficiency and quality. You will also supportstructured light scanning and inspection activities to ensure productionaccuracy.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Program,validate, and troubleshoot six‑axis industrial robots (e.g., Fanuc) andintegrate machine vision systems.
Design,develop, and implement automated processes and equipment to improve efficiency,quality, and safety.
Analyzemanufacturing processes and drive continuous improvement using engineering andmetrology tools.
Supportstructured light scanning and inspection activities using systems such as Zeiss3D Inspect.
Developautomation scripts (e.g., Python) to extract, consolidate, and analyzeproduction data.
Createprocess documentation and provide technical guidance to engineering andmanufacturing teams.
What You Bring
HighSchool diploma/GED that can be verified is required; pursuing a Bachelor’sdegree or have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or relatedengineering field is preferred.
6 mosto 2 years of professional experience in automation, robotics, or processengineering within manufacturing environment is preferred.
Hands‑onexperience programming industrial robots (preferably Fanuc) and developingautomation scripts (e.g., Python).
Knowledgeof structured light scanning, metrology tools, and inspection software (e.g.,Zeiss).
Abilityto interpret engineering drawings and apply mechanical/industrial engineeringprinciples.
Experiencewith or exposure to SAP, Siemens NX, metal joining processes, and continuousimprovement methods.
Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in theUnited States without need for current or future employer-sponsored workauthorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may beeligible for internal transfers.
