Envision Cooperative Agricultural Equipment Operators in Rugby, North Dakota

ND job order 924870 Temporary seasonal position from 4/1/2026 to 11/15/2026 The worker will operate and maintain various agricultural equipment, including fertilizer floaters, spreaders, and other heavy machinery used in the application of crop inputs. Tasks include blending and loading fertilizers and chemicals, ensuring proper calibration and safe handling procedures. The worker will be responsible for transporting agricultural products, water, and inputs to and from the fields using trucks and trailers as needed. Duties may include performing safety checks, cleaning, and conducting minor repairs or adjustments to equipment to maintain functionality. The worker will assist in monitoring inventory levels of crop inputs and reporting shortages. Additional tasks include general facility and equipment maintenance, such as cleaning work areas, organizing supplies, and assisting with seasonal preparation and close-out activities. Work is performed outdoors and is dependent on weather conditions, often requiring long hours during peak seasons to ensure timely crop input application. The position requires adherence to all safety protocols and the ability to follow detailed instructions from supervisors. The job supports seasonal fieldwork necessary for regional crop production, and services must be completed within time-sensitive planting and harvesting windows. All work will be carried out under the direction of experienced managers to ensure compliance with operational and safety standards. Employees will be provided with adequate breaks, including meal and rest periods, consistent with applicable Federal, State, and local law, during the course of each workday. No experience is required. Lift and carry items weighing up to 75 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion. Operator License Class D Candidate will have 60 days to obtain. Skill Level I Entry Level Pursuant to the Interim Final Rule (IFR) implementing the new four-level wage system for H-2A occupations, the employer designates this position as Skill Level I Entry Level, indicating that the job requires limited experience and routine supervision consistent with entry-level duties. The employer reserves the right to withhold the applicable housing deduction as permitted under program regulations, when approved and disclosed in the job order. They retain final say over who is hired and will pay the highest wage required based on Adverse Effect Wage Rates (AEWR) or state minimum wage, dependi g on housing provisions and skill level. Workers receiving free housing may be paid a lower hourly wage that includes a housing credit, as permitted by the Department of Labor. No additional deductions for housing can be made.
