Northrop Grumman Defense Systems has an opening for a Systems Engineering Manager 2 on the Special Projects Team within the Command Systems Business Unit (BU). You will join our team of qualified, diverse individuals who tackle complex problems in a fast paced environment. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and support the Command Systems BU. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
What You Will Get To Do:
Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:
• Aid the Special Projects Restructure Program Manager in leading the Business Unit through Program Restructure.
• Own the Business Unit programmatic execution to include program integration within the Business Unit, Suppliers, Customers and other Stakeholders as necessary.
• Detect, triage and mitigate early stage incidents that could become schedule and cost blockers.
• Assemble and lead cross functional teams to develop an Integrated Master Schedule (Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics, Test, Software).
• Produce rapid, data driven recommendations and coordinate them with executive sponsors for rapid resolution.
• Ensure program schedules and plans are horizontally and vertically integrated and have what they need for success.
• Development and adherence to master plans and schedules.
• Conducting thorough risk & opportunity identification and management practices.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and a minimum 8 years of related experience or master’s degree with 4 years of related experience
• US Citizenship with Active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years
• Active Sentinel special access clearance (PAR).
• Experience with Program Planning / IMS Generation or equitable scope
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
• 2+ years of related experience working on the Sentinel program in various positions. 1 year of functional management.
• Proven leader; problem solver; strong work ethic; excellent communications and interpersonal skills for close work with teammates, stakeholders and customers.
• Ability to brief Segment, Program and Customer leadership
• Experience with the Sentinel IMS
• Experience authoring BOEs
• Active TS Clearance
Primary Level Salary Range: $139,100.00 - $208,700.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
