Description We are looking for a dedicated Procurement Specialist to join our team in Roxbury, Massachusetts. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in managing procurement processes, ensuring efficiency in purchasing activities, and driving cost-effective solutions. Responsibilities:
• Oversee end-to-end procurement processes, including sourcing, purchasing, and vendor management.
• Manage and execute purchase orders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods and services.
• Analyze buying processes to identify areas for improvement and implement streamlined solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand procurement needs and align them with organizational goals.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure favorable terms and pricing.
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong relationships to ensure quality and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with corporate procurement policies and procedures.
• Prepare and maintain detailed procurement records and reports for auditing and tracking purposes.
• Research market trends and supplier options to support informed decision-making.
• Address any procurement-related issues or discrepancies promptly and effectively. Requirements • Proven experience in corporate procurement or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of purchase order management and buying processes.
• Expertise in procurement functions and vendor negotiations.
• Ability to analyze and enhance procurement systems and workflows.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in managing contracts and ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation abilities.
• Familiarity with market research techniques and supplier evaluation processes.
