Transdev Assistant General Manager in Roxbury, Massachusetts
Transdev Service, Inc. is seeking an Assistant General Manager for its Boston Public Schools’ transportation contract. The Assistant General Manager is responsible for planning, directing, controlling and evaluating operations and programs of the facility.

Key Responsibilities:
Supervises daily activities of all operators and coordinates the activities of supervisors and dispatch personnel.
OverseesschedulingofDrivers,DispatchersandSupervisors.
Monitors operations and coordinates delivery of service with the Branch General Manager,OperationsManagerandAreaGenalManager;andprovidesdailyreports.
MonitorsKeyPerformanceIndicators(KPI)andreportsvariancetothelocationGeneral Manager.
Monitorsdepartmentbudgetedregularandexceptiontimehoursandreportsvariances to the location General Manager.
ResponsibleforOn-TimePerformanceandtimelyyarddepartures.
WorkscloselywiththeMaintenanceDepartmenttoensureadequateavailabilityof equipment.
Track, compileandanalyzeperformancestandardsrelatedtoOnTimePerformance, Complaints, Missed Service, and other operational standards.
Handle interdepartmental issues; assists in the resolution of employee issues and grievances; improve processes and route scheduling.
Maintainsconfidentialityofallinformation.
Interactwiththeunionrepresentingtheemployeeswiththegoalofpositiveinteraction.

Qualifications:
Ahighschooldiplomaorequivalent(G.E.D.)required
Abachelor’sdegreepreferred
Aminimumof5yearsofmanagementexperienceoraminimumof2yearsofpassenger transportation management experience
Excellentcommunication&customerserviceskills.
Mustbeabletoworkshiftsorflexibleworkschedulesasneeded.
ProficiencywithMicrosoftOffice.
Comprehensiveknowledgeofpublicmanagementandorganizationtheories, principles, practices and techniques.
Thoroughknowledgeofthemethodsofoperationofthetransitsystem’sstaffand operational departments.
