Eaton Corporation 3rd Shift Machine Technician II in Roxboro, North Carolina
Eaton’s IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a 3rd Shift Machine Technician II.
The hourly rate for this position is $23.28 per hour plus a fifty cent shift differential.
This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

The core hours for this role are 10:30pm-7:00am .
Eaton announced, on January 26, 2026, the intent to separate its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) into an independent, publicly traded company. We expect to complete the separation by the end of the first quarter of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the spinoff closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.
What you’ll do:
Job Summary
The Machine Technician II role involves routine tasks such as internal grinding, quality inspections, machine setups, troubleshooting, material handling, and lockout/tagout (LOTO), along with participating in 5S activities. Non-routine tasks include sorting questionable materials, processing rework, and assisting other product lines.
Job Responsibilities
• Contribute to a safe, engaged and inclusive work culture by complying with all policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment, and performing 5S duties.
• Work from control plans, blueprints, and/or oral instructions in order to setup, operate, and maintain the machines.
• Maintain expected progress of jobs in area of assignment and communicate concerns appropriately.
• Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement as well as complete root cause analysis in response to issues with quality or production.
• Responsible for quality, including measuring finished parts, visual inspections of material, identifying nonconforming parts, and troubleshooting errors.
• Expected to cross train and stand in for other employees/job functions when necessary.
Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
Requires one year of machining and/or assembly experience.
Requires the ability to use hand tools and to perform inspections and routine maintenance on machines.
Must be able to lift up to 40lbs on a regular basis
Preferred Qualifications
Applicants who have strong math skills and ability to read engineering drawings.
Previous experience with computerized machining equipment is highly preferred.

Internal applicant requirements
Must have at least 6 months in current position.
Must meet all disciplinary requirements which are: TalentHub rating of on target results and meets expectations or better, below 40 hours of occurrences, no multiple disciplinary issues.
