ManpowerGroup Electromagnetic Capability Engineer in Round Lake, Illinois

Our client, is seeking a dedicated Electromagnetic Capability Engineer to join their innovative team. As an Electromagnetic Capability Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Engineering Department supporting the EMC and system integration teams.

Job Title: Electromagnetic Capability Engineer

Location: Round Lake, Illinois

Pay Range: $42 - $45 per hour

What's the Job?

  • Define EMC requirements in alignment with industry standards and assess their impact on baseline design development.

  • Analyze and project EMC compliance design margins during the design phase, presenting findings at design reviews and customer technical meetings.

  • Develop EMI equipment needs, oversee maintenance and calibration, and implement procedures within EMI testing protocols.

  • Participate in EMC testing, including test planning, system integration, verification, validation, and overseeing test setup and performance.

  • Create and review EMC plans and test protocols, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and overseeing their execution at in-house and third-party test facilities.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering with a focus on electromagnetic engineering.

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in electromagnetic compatibility and related testing methodologies.

  • Familiarity with applicable test standards such as CISPR11, IEC61000 series, and IEC60601-1-2.

  • Proficiency with MATLAB, Excel, LabView, and advanced electromagnetic test equipment.

  • Basic knowledge of test fixture design, statistics, and electromagnetic modeling software tools.
