Aerotek Weld Supervisor in Rossville, Georgia

We are looking for a 3rd shift Weld Supervisor to join a growing team! This role will be training on first shift up to a month and then will be moving to 7 p.m. - 6:30 a.m. for normal working hours.

Weld Supervisor

Job Description

The Weld Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the weld department. The ideal candidate will possess extensive welding experience and will be tasked with ensuring the quality and efficiency of welding operations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the weld department.

  • Ensure high-quality welding practices and adherence to safety standards.

  • Utilize welding skills and knowledge to train and guide team members.

  • Interpret and work from blueprints and technical drawings.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless production processes.

Essential Skills

  • 5-7+ years of welding experience, preferably with MIG welding.

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.

  • Experience with fitting, fabrication, and grinding.

  • Skilled in the use of tape measures and working with stainless steel materials.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory experience is an advantage.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

  • Ability to train new welders and oversee their progress.

Work Environment

Work in an open warehouse environment that will be doing production focused welding operations. The role involves night shift supervision, with initial training conducted on the first shift for up to a month.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rossville, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
