Technical Support Representative Position Overview
The Technical Support Representative provides first‑call resolution to customers by delivering high‑quality technical assistance via phone and email. This role focuses on troubleshooting software and basic system issues while maintaining an excellent customer experience. Success in this position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to explain technical concepts in simple, user‑friendly terms.
This is an entry‑level role ideal for candidates with customer service experience who are interested in developing technical support skills.
Key Responsibilities
Provide first‑call resolution support to customers via telephone and email, regardless of product type or issue complexity
Deliver professional, courteous, and customer‑focused service on every interaction
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues related to:
Software functionality
Connectivity problems
Product or system failures
Clearly communicate troubleshooting steps, solutions, and next steps to customers in easy‑to‑understand language
Accurately document all customer interactions, findings, and resolutions in the CRM system
Participate in product testing, system updates, and version rollouts
Collaborate with team members by sharing knowledge, brainstorming solutions to complex issues, and proactively identifying common problems and resolutions
Demonstrate teamwork and adaptability in a fast‑paced support environment
Required Qualifications (Must Have)
At least 1 year of customer service experience (call center experience strongly preferred)
Basic technical aptitude, including:
Help desk exposure or experience building or working with computers
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Comfort working in a Windows environment
Familiarity with installing and troubleshooting basic Windows applications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
Experience using command prompts
Prior technical support, Geek Squad, or IT‑adjacent experience

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
