Eagle Railcar Services Fixed Equip Maintenance Technician-Roscoe in Roscoe, Texas
The Fixed Equip Maintenance Technician is responsible for repair and maintenance of equipment, machinery, and facilities to ensure smooth operations. Includes troubleshooting issues, repairing production and facilities equipment failures, and ensuring maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. Responsibilities: Equipment Repair and Maintenance: o Repair industrial equipment, including electrical component, motors, pumps, hydraulic systems, compressors, chillers, and boilers. o Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. o Maintain, inspect, repair, and/or adjust equipment parts and components. o Diagnose equipment malfunctions and mechanical issues using troubleshooting techniques, diagnostic tools, and equipment manuals. o Participate in equipment installations and facility maintenance. Preventive Maintenance: o Execute scheduled preventive maintenance activities according to established procedures and maintenance schedules. o Identify and replace worn or defective parts, such as belts, bearings, motors, and sensors, before they cause equipment failures or breakdowns. o Perform predictive maintenance tasks, such as oil analysis, to detect potential equipment failures and address them proactively. o Maintain detailed maintenance records as well as review and follow-up to ensure equipment has returned to operation. o Responsible for general maintenance of facility and grounds. Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: o Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, alarms, or abnormal operating conditions to minimize production disruptions. o Analyze equipment performance data, diagnostic reports, and maintenance records to identify root causes of recurring issues and implement corrective actions. o Collaborate with maintenance supervisors and production personnel to resolve complex technical problems and optimize equipment performance. Safety Compliance: o Adhere to safety protocols, procedures, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others. o Perform safety inspections, hazard assessments, and risk assessments on equipment and work areas, and take corrective actions to mitigate potential hazards. Work Experience and Qualifications: 3-5 years of related industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience is required. EAGLE RAILCAR SERVICES Fixed Equip Maintenance Technician Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt 2 Technical Skills: Basic technical skills related to maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Ability to read a blueprint for hydraulic, electrical, plumbing, and other areas. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance techniques. Industrial welding and understanding PLC principles is a plus. Computer Skills: Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications and comfortable using computers for work orders, reports, and troubleshooting. Core Skills: Strong problem-solving aptitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Education: High School Diploma or GED Technical Education: Preferred but not required Preferred Qualifications: Certifications in HVAC, or other relevant trades are a plus. Work Conditions and Physical Demands: Able to stand for long periods of time with limited breaks. Must be able to repetitively lift up-to 75 pounds and team lift up-to 150 pounds. Work in extreme temperatures and elements for an extended period. Must be able to work in confined spaces. Working around heavy moving equipment Must be able to work at elevated heights. Climb, squat, bend, and twist to accomplish work tasks.
