Job Title: Light Mechanical and Electrical Assembler
Job Description
This role involves performing a variety of light mechanical and electrical assembly tasks on equipment and components to exact specifications and close tolerances. You will use fixtures along with simple hand and power tools to complete assembly work and support remanufacturing operations, including disassembly, minor repairs, sorting, cleaning, and inspection of small dispensing units and major subassemblies. This position offers the opportunity to work a four-day core schedule with occasional additional hours as needed.
Responsibilities
Assemble light mechanical and electrical equipment to exact specifications and close tolerances using fixtures, hand tools, and power tools.
Perform assigned remanufacturing operations, including disassembly of small dispensing units and major subassemblies.
Carry out minor repairs on mechanical and electrical components as required.
Sort, clean, and inspect small dispensing units and major subassemblies to ensure they meet quality standards.
Follow written instructions, work orders, and basic drawings or guidelines to complete assembly and remanufacturing tasks accurately.
Use basic math skills to measure, verify, and confirm dimensions and tolerances during assembly and inspection.
Interpret color coding for basic wiring to ensure correct electrical connections.
Identify and distinguish between various metals for proper sorting and handling.
Apply basic computer skills to access work instructions, record data, or track production activities as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all safety procedures when using hand and power tools.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and quality standards.
Adapt to occasional schedule changes, including working additional hours on Fridays when required to meet production demands.
Essential Skills
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic math ability to support measuring, counting, and verifying parts and assemblies.
Experience using hand tools and power tools in an assembly or similar environment.
Mechanical aptitude and strong manual dexterity for precise assembly work.
Basic computer skills to navigate simple software or data entry tasks.
Ability to interpret color coding for basic wiring.
Ability to distinguish between various metals for sorting and remanufacturing tasks.
Capability to stand for up to 10 hours during a shift.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Basic mechanical experience in an assembly, repair, or maintenance setting.
Basic plumbing experience is a plus.
Ability to read and understand blueprints or basic technical drawings.
Previous experience in an assembly line or remanufacturing environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Willingness to learn new processes and follow standardized work instructions.

Work Environment
This position is based in a production and remanufacturing facility where you will work primarily on an assembly line and at workstations using fixtures, hand tools, and power tools. The standard schedule runs Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with occasional additional work on Fridays for 6–8 hours when production needs require it. The role is physically active and requires standing for up to 10 hours per shift and performing repetitive tasks with hands and arms. The environment emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and organization, with established procedures for tool use and equipment handling. You will work around mechanical and electrical components, small dispensing units, and major subassemblies in a setting that relies on teamwork, clear communication, and adherence to quality and safety standards. Typical attire is practical, comfortable work clothing suitable for a manufacturing environment, along with any required personal protective equipment provided according to facility guidelines

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr.
