Pay Rate: $45–$50 per hour
Schedule: 37.5 hours/week

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide specialized instruction and support to middle school–aged students. This educator will work collaboratively with general education teachers to deliver co-taught instruction, support IEP implementation, and promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Ideal candidates demonstrate strong instructional skills, effective collaboration, and a commitment to helping students with diverse learning needs succeed academically and socially.
Assignment Details
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: End of School Year
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM – 2:55 PM
Hours: 37.5 hours/week (30-minute unpaid break)
Caseload: Up to 13 middle school students
Instructional Model: Co-teaching in ELA and STEM classes
Environment: In-person role
Responsibilities
Provide specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals and student needs.
Co-teach ELA and STEM classes in partnership with general education teachers.
Utilize differentiated strategies to engage and support learners.
Monitor, document, and report on student progress.
Participate in IEP meetings, planning, and collaborative problem-solving.
Maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, and professional standards.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution (preferred).
Valid Illinois teaching certificate with LBS1 endorsement required.
At least one year of classroom or teaching experience (preferred).
Knowledge of special education instructional practices and middle school learning needs.
CPR certification, TB/PPD, and health documentation as required by state regulations.
Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
