Pay Rate :
$93,400 to $137,000
Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.

The Technical Assistant Paper at our Rome, GA Linerboard Paper Mill will be responsible for improving overall machine efficiency and helping to improve cost control, quality, and compliance specifications.
The Job You Will Perform:
Ensure a safe work environment and be a leader for safety
Assist the Business Unit Manager and other Area Managers in the overall operation and efficiency of the machines.
The end results should include: a safe efficient operation, a consistent, quality product, controlled cost, and reliable equipment.
Maintain high standards in safety and housekeeping. Attend safety meetings. Address areas of concern.
Work with both internal groups to improve reliability of operations.
Create and implement systems to improve reliability and efficiency of paper machines.
Participate in the planning and execution of all capital projects
Self-Development – Take advantage of training opportunities and developmental assignments by personal initiative
Reporting and Accountability Relationships:
This position receives direction from the Area Process Manager(s) and/or Business Unit Manager. It functions as an assistant to the Area Process Manger(s) and has wide latitude for decisions pertaining to the day to day operations of the paper area. This includes decisions on machine efficiency issues and performance
Accountable to internal and external customers
Business Contacts:
Internal: All support groups: fibers, utilities, and maintenance – requires constant communications to accomplish the task of producing linerboard of high quality in a safe efficient, low cost manner.
External: Suppliers and other vendors
The Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge You Will Bring:
Education and Experience: BS in Engineering or other related field of study or high school diploma with equivalent experience. At least 7 to 10 years related experience. Experience in paper mill operations, coordinating shutdowns, and project management.
