Description
We are looking for a skilled Project Manager to lead HR organizational initiatives and transformation efforts within a dynamic, multi-center-of-excellence HR environment. This long-term contract position requires an individual who excels at coordinating complex projects, fostering collaboration among diverse stakeholders, and driving impactful change management strategies. Based in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, this role offers the opportunity to shape HR processes, governance, and employee experiences on an international scale.
Responsibilities:
• Execute end-to-end project management for HR transformation initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, track milestones, and maintain detailed logs of risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Facilitate collaboration across HR sub-teams, including Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, HR Operations, and Learning & Development.
• Design and implement change management strategies that support stakeholder engagement and smooth transitions.
• Create clear and effective project communications, including message maps, announcements, FAQs, and updates tailored to various audiences.
• Partner with external consulting teams to coordinate deliverables, integrate their outputs into sustainable processes, and ensure knowledge transfer.
• Lead governance activities by setting agendas, organizing working sessions, and tracking action items for follow-through.
• Manage cross-time-zone collaboration with international teams, establishing effective norms and practices to maintain project momentum.
• Drive stakeholder alignment and ensure project objectives meet the needs of HR leaders and cross-functional partners.
• Prepare executive-level reports that summarize project progress, risks, and insights for decision-making.
The hourly salary range for this position is $45.00 to $62.00. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance. Requirements
• Proven experience in project management within a complex HR environment, preferably with international teams.
• Expertise in change management and the ability to design and execute strategies that drive organizational transformation.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to create high-impact presentations and written materials.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to analyze data and develop detailed reports.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including HR leaders, external consultants, and cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of HR functions such as Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, and Employee Relations.
• Experience coordinating governance activities and facilitating decision-making processes.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accurate tracking of project risks, dependencies, and milestones.
