Citi Trends Inventory Control Specialist in Roland, Oklahoma
Citi Trends is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to support the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of inventory operations across our Distribution Center and store network. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that physical inventory aligns with system records, minimizing discrepancies, and driving operational excellence.

What Youll Do
Wave Clean-Up & Store-to-Store Transfers (25%)
Review aged distributions to confirm store receipt and make appropriate system adjustments
Resolve misdirected inventory by creating and processing store-to-store transfers
Partner with leadership to address open distributions that require escalation before returning to DC
Cycle Count Support (20%)
Conduct cycle counts alongside lift operators to ensure inventory accuracy
Recount and validate discrepancies, including locating missing pallets
Collaborate with DC Operations to maintain accurate inventory records
Reconciliation & Reporting (15%)
Review reconciliation reports for discrepancies between WMS and financial systems
Research root causes and process system corrections
Identify trends and communicate recurring issues to leadership for resolution
Distribution Center Inventory Management (15%)
Perform daily floor audits to identify misplaced or problem inventory
Direct operations teams to correct inventory placement
Identify and escalate Loss Prevention concerns (e.g., unattended product, open cartons, unsecured areas)
Chargebacks (10%)
- Process adjustments related to damages and concealed shortages
In-Transit & Research (8%)
- Monitor in-transit inventory and confirm receipt based on selling activity and system data
Damages Processing (2%)
- Ensure damaged goods, returns, and seasonal inventory are accurately adjusted
Additional Responsibilities (5%)
Maintain logs and documentation for all inventory adjustments
Support inventory accuracy initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
Collaborate cross-functionally to improve inventory processes and flow
Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
What You Bring
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum of 1 year of Distribution Center experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Core Skills & Competencies:
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Solid math and analytical abilities
Effective communication skills across all levels
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel
Experience with Manhattan WMS and Island Pacific is a plus
Warehouse and inventory management experience in a fast-paced environment preferred
Lift operator experience is a plus
Adaptability and willingness to support evolving business needs
Physical Requirements
Ability to see, hear, and communicate effectively
Manual dexterity required for computer use and data entry
