Job Title: Order Picker
Job Description
The Order Picker plays a key role in day-to-day warehouse operations by accurately picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and staging products, while maintaining organized inventory and a clean, efficient warehouse. This position supports both internal teams and customers by ensuring orders are processed correctly, shipments are tracked, and inventory is stored and handled with care.
Responsibilities
Pick products accurately according to customer pick lists and salesperson needs, ensuring that all items selected match the required descriptions and quantities.
Prepare orders for shipment by efficiently and thoroughly packing products to minimize damage during transit.
Stage completed orders in the appropriate area for shipping or customer pickup.
Assist with loading trucks and trailers, ensuring products are handled safely and arranged for secure transport.
Complete all required shipping documentation before product leaves the premises, including paperwork for carriers such as UPS, SpeeDee, truck shipments, and end-of-day postings.
Perform ship sales order functions and track outbound shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
Receive inbound products, verify accuracy, create labels, and place items in the correct warehouse locations.
Perform scheduled cycle counts, record inventory results, and make necessary placement or quantity adjustments to maintain accurate inventory control.
Coordinate daily carrier requirements and ensure proper manifesting for all shipments.
Assist with general warehouse upkeep, including cleanliness, organization, and basic equipment maintenance.
Support equipment upkeep by assisting with tasks such as battery watering and charging for warehouse equipment as needed.
Control and track demo product movement in and out of the warehouse to maintain accurate records.
Use RF scanners and related warehouse technology to pick, pack, receive, and track inventory.
Keep the supervisor informed of important developments, potential issues, and other information necessary for effective warehouse management.
Perform general labor and material handling tasks such as loading, unloading, and moving products throughout the warehouse as required.
Essential Skills
At least 1 year of order picking experience in a warehouse or similar environment.
At least 1 year of computer work experience, including basic data entry and use of warehouse or shipping systems.
Experience using RF scanners or RF scan guns for picking, packing, receiving, and inventory tasks.
Hands-on experience with material handling, including loading, unloading, and moving products safely.
Proficiency in order picking, packing, and shipping processes within a warehouse setting.
Experience with shipping and receiving functions, including preparing orders, verifying shipments, and processing documentation.
Ability to perform warehouse inventory tasks, including cycle counts and stock placement.
Comfort working in a warehouse environment with general labor responsibilities.
Attention to detail to ensure accurate picking, packing, labeling, and documentation.
Ability to follow established procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working with vinyl products is a strong plus.
Experience working with printing or sign and banner production is beneficial.
Familiarity with shipment tracking and coordinating with carriers is helpful.
Ability to learn and use warehouse management systems and related technology.
Strong communication skills to keep supervisors and team members informed about issues and updates.
Ability to support basic equipment upkeep, such as battery watering and charging.

Work Environment
This role is based in a well-lit, temperature-controlled warehouse environment, providing a comfortable and consistent setting throughout the year. You will work primarily on the signs and banners side of the business, handling vinyl and printing-related materials and products. Daily work involves using RF scanners, warehouse equipment, and standard material handling tools while moving throughout the warehouse to pick, pack, load, unload, and store products. The facility emphasizes organization, cleanliness, and safe handling of materials, offering a structured and orderly workspace.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
