The Painted Lady Café and Gallery is seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join its team.
As a Café Team Member, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for guests. Responsibilities include preparing and serving food and beverages, operating point-of-sale systems, delivering excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment. This position requires efficiency, a positive attitude, and a strong team-oriented mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Greet guests, take orders, and provide knowledgeable assistance regarding menu items, ingredients, and allergens.
- Beverage Preparation: Prepare coffee and specialty drinks using espresso equipment, as well as hand dipping ice cream cones.
- Transactions: Accurately process payments using a cash register and POS system, handling both cash and cashless transactions.
- Maintenance & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean workspace by clearing tables, sanitizing surfaces, washing dishes, and ensuring overall café cleanliness.
- Inventory & Stocking: Restock supplies, monitor inventory levels, and maintain organized condiment and service areas.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and hygiene standards.

In addition to café responsibilities, this role offers the opportunity to gain experience in the coffee shop and ice cream area with room to grow and possibly move up to being the coffee shop manager.
