BAE Systems Model Based Systems Engineer in Rockville, Maryland

Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking a MBSE Systems Engineer to develop system modeling and simulation (M&S) solutions throughout the organization, and to perform engineering analysis and provide results to inform strategic decisions for operations to support our work as a prime contractor on a high-profile U.S. Navy weapon system.

This position is responsible for developing and maintaining system modeling practices and methodologies, designing and developing system models, preparing/validating the modeling and analysis as well as effectively communicating the findings to provide actionable recommendations. This position will also be responsible for supporting the development of overarching M&S and MBSE strategy, and ensuring the logical and systemic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, computer science, or other related technical field

  • 4 years of work experience or equivalent experience

  • Systems Engineering and SysML/UML modeling experience utilizing modeling tools such as Cameo

  • Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision, navigate at the expert level with System Modeling tools, and is familiar with developing UseCases, Activity Models, and other SYSML models.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Willingness and ability to travel

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Knowledge/Experience supporting Navy SSP Strategic Weapons Systems

  • INCOSE ASEP Certification

  • Systems Engineering experience spanning the SE Lifecycle

  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills to interface with the government representatives and internal departments

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $97008 - $164914

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
