Job Title: Regional Sales Manager (Machine Tools / CNC)

Location: Remote – 40-60% travel

Preference to candidates living in Northeast or Southeast/East Coast or Western states US regions

Salary – $80-$100k base plus commissions – base open to discussion for right candidate

Key: Must have sales experience in machine tools, CNC, metal cutting, or industrial manufacturing

Client has relationships with fortune 500 companies and the best manufacturing companies including aerospace, defense, energy, and heavy manufacturing. Long sales cycle – selling machinery that can cost from $2 to $10 million

About the Opportunity:

Kelly Services is partnering with a highly respected, innovation-driven international manufacturing organization, HQ in Italy, to identify an experienced Regional Sales Manager. This is a high-impact role focused on driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and building strategic relationships across key industrial sectors including aerospace, defense, energy, and heavy manufacturing.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated sales professional with a strong background in machine tools, metal cutting, or industrial manufacturing. This individual will lead complex, solution-based sales efforts for advanced CNC machining and capital equipment solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Commercial Growth & Market Expansion

  • Drive revenue growth through new business development and strategic account expansion

  • Identify and pursue opportunities within aerospace, defense, energy, and industrial sectors

  • Expand market presence through targeted sales strategies

Customer Engagement & Strategic Selling

  • Build relationships with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and key decision-makers

  • Lead full-cycle, solution-based sales processes for capital equipment

  • Deliver compelling technical and commercial presentations

Sales Execution & Leadership

  • Manage pipeline activity, forecasting, and sales performance metrics

  • Establish and execute sales strategies aligned with company goals

Technical Sales & Collaboration

  • Leverage expertise in CNC machining, metal cutting, and automation solutions

  • Partner with engineering teams to deliver customized solutions

  • Support product demos and ROI-driven proposals

Market Strategy & Industry Engagement

  • Monitor market trends, competitors, and pricing strategies

  • Represent the organization at trade shows and industry events

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Engineering, Business, or related field)

  • 5+ years of sales experience in machine tools, CNC, metal cutting, or industrial manufacturing

  • Proven success selling capital equipment in complex sales environments

  • Strong communication and presentation skills with executive-level stakeholders

  • Ability to translate technical solutions into business value

  • Experience managing long sales cycles and high-value deals

  • Proficiency with CRM systems and sales tools
