JOB DESCRIPTION - PROCESS TECHNICIAN
Summary
This position is primarily responsible for the operation of the plastic injection molding machines in the molding
department. This position operates under limited supervision and reports to the Foreman Manager.
Essential Functions
- Perform any mold removal and installations efficiently and safely. Ensure all previous equipment and product is removed from the area. Verify any new equipment installed is operating properly safely.
- Direct Material Handlers and Grinder Operators in daily responsibilities.
- Adjust machine parameters when needed to ensure quality levels are maintained as high as possible.
- Monitor and review machine cycle times and machine operating parameters, ensuring machine operating efficiencies.
- Verify all scrap is labeled and controlled properly.
- Thoroughly complete any paperwork at machine.
- Repair or assist in the repair of any secondary equipment: forklift trucks, machine items, general site items, as directed by Supervisor.
- Work safely at all times.
- Communicate in a professional manner at all times with co-workers, Supervisors, Vendors and Customers.
- Assist other employees as directed by Supervisor .

Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 45 hours per week. Occasional Saturdays or
Sundays required. Employees will be notified in advance of these weekend workdays.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving
equipment and a variety of temperature conditions throughout the year. The noise level in the work environment can be
loud. Hearing and eye protection required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is required to
drive a forklift, stand and walk throughout the day. The employee is frequently required to lift and push items at or
above shoulder height; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee will use tools
such as screw drivers, drills, wrenches, etc which require repeated hand, wrist and arm movements. The employee is
occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, twist or bend, crouch or crawl. The employee must
regularly lift and move up to 15 pounds and frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by
this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Preferred Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Ability to understand job instructions in English (verbal and written).
Two years plus in Quality Control or Quality Assurance in a factory-related setting.
