Job Title: Environmental Project ManagerJob Description
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager to lead and participate in a diverse range of site-development, transportation, energy-related, climate adaptation, and resiliency projects. The role involves managing permitting projects at various levels with proven success, preparing permit applications, scientific reports, and environmental impact statements.
Responsibilities
Effectively coordinate field work and provide direction and support to technical staff.
Interact professionally with clients, stakeholders, and contractors.
Manage budgets, invoicing, accounts receivable, schedules, and subcontractors.
Support the preparation of proposals and cost estimates.
Essential Skills
Environmental compliance and remediation experience.
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in environmental science, natural resources, biology, ecology, planning, or related field.
5 to 15 years of post-degree environmental permitting experience, preferably in New Jersey.
Familiarity with NEPA documentation including ENFs, EIRs, CATEXs, EAs, and EISs.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent verbal and technical communication skills.
Ability to maintain a positive attitude under aggressive schedules.
Experience in report writing and preparation of clear and concise documentation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with sustainability and climate adaptation planning.
Familiarity with socioeconomic and environmental justice analysis.
Ability to travel as required for project demands and business development.
Direct experience with NJDEP, USACE, and other federal and state permitting agencies.
Knowledge of New Jersey regulatory agencies and environmental protection programs.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role, with 2-3 days a week required in the office. The position involves working with a multidisciplinary team to execute complex projects across the country from eight office locations in North America. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $160000.00/yr.
