JOB GOAL: 1. Help each participating student to achieve a high level of skill and knowledge of the sport. 2. Instill in the participants an appreciation for the values of discipline and sportsmanship. 3. Help students achieve an increased level of self-esteem. 4. Develop a positive working relationship with students, staff, administration, parents and community. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to execute each requirement satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability needed for the position. 1. Possess a valid First Aid Card 2. Completion of an annual Bloodborn Pathogen course. 3. Possess a high level of competence, which may include prior participation in the sport, prior coaching experience, and completion of courses and /or clinics sufficient to provide the knowledge and skill to meet the performance responsibilities described below. 4. Has experience teaching, working with, and/or coaching students of high school age.
