About the Role The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer should have a strong technical background and a high level of knowledge in quality assurance, control, and process creation. This role requires the ability to combine detailed technical expertise with quality assurance methodologies to drive best practices in an ongoing production environment. The ideal candidate is well organized, disciplined, and self-motivated, with the ability to balance multiple priorities aligned with operational and organizational goals. Strong communication skills are essential to effectively engage with internal personnel, suppliers, and third parties with professionalism and clarity. What You'll Do * Designs, implements and maintains quality assurance protocols and methods for processing materials into partially finished or finished products. * Create PFMEA and Control Plans for new and existing products with assistance from R&D, Production, Field Service, and other parts of the business. * Responsible for planning, implementing and managing compliance of manufacturing and production processes with internal and external safety, quality and regulatory standards requirements for worldwide distribution. * Review production work instructions for obvious process, order of operation, and BOM issues. * Designs methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of production processes, production equipment and finished products. * Performs analysis of reports and production data to identify trends and recommend updates or changes to quality standards and procedures when necessary. * Works with outside agencies to create and document control processes compliant to Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) requirements. * Assures compliance with in-house and/or external specifications and standards (i.e. ISO 9001, DFARS). * Create Value Stream and Process Flow Maps to identify waste and propose solutions. * Review and revise department procedures to ensure compliance to ISO 9001 standards. What you'll Bring Education and Training * Bachelor’s degree in engineering. * Formal Six-Sigma training, a minimum of Green Belt is desired, Black Belt preferred. * Experience with analytic tools such as Excel, Minitab, or similar tools * Proficient with MS Office including Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, MRP systems, Oracle. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with applied experience in a team environment.
