Robert Half Medical Billing Specialist in Rochester, New York
Description
Accurately process claims, invoices, and patient billing statements
Review medical records and documentation for billing compliance
Verify insurance coverage and eligibility
Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve billing discrepancies
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of billing codes (ICD, CPT, HCPCS) and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely reimbursement
Respond to patient inquiries regarding billing and insurance
Requirements
Experience in medical billing or collections in a healthcare setting
Working knowledge of revenue cycle management and medical terminology
Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and insurance processes
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
