Garage Supervisor Nights Starting Pay: $31.20 - $44.56 per hour based on skills and experience Available Shift: Wednesday, Thursday 9:00pm-7:30am, and Saturday and Sunday 4:00pm- 2:30am. What You'll Do * This is a safety-sensitive, first-line supervisory position responsible for performing a variety of functions relative to the safe and efficient maintenance and repair of all RTS revenue and non-revenue vehicle maintenance, and several RTS buildings and facilities. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Manager of Fleet Maintenance. This position is expected to open and close the Service Building operations and oversee Service Building employees on weekends, in addition to the Garage. * Complete welding, brazing, cutting torch work, and assist with towing/road calls. * Conduct safety inspections and ensure proper documentation. * Perform alignments and support repairs on articulated and standard buses. * Work safely, efficiently, and meet competency standards. * Other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For * High School Diploma or GED * Must obtain a NY State Commercial Driver's License, Class B and any applicable endorsements within 6-months from the hire date (Required to obtain Class B permit prior to start date). Other Requirements * Must have own tools * Must obtain a NYS CDL Class B permit with passenger & air brake endorsements before start, and full Class B license within 90 days * Must obtain a CDL Class A permit and towing endorsement (may be after hire) and full Class A license within 90 days of permit * English proficiency required for safety-sensitive communication, manuals, and job instructions Consideration Will Be Given To The Following Factors: * Education attained beyond high school. * ASE Certification. * Mechanical and Technical Repair Background/Experience. * Relevant Previous Work Experience. * Relevant Supervisory Experience (may include responsibility for performance review and disciplinary actions).
