Compensation Range:

$24.91 - $34.87

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities:

The Neurology TAR Clinical Research Spec II participates in research studies, and offers guidance to faculty and staff, and contributes to research efforts related to mental health and counseling. This may include development of clinical research protocols, intervention manuals, testing of behavioral health interventions, and serving as a clinician or facilitator for behavioral interventions in the context of research.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Protocol and Manual Development: Assists PI and team in developing research and therapeutic intervention materials including participant facing materials and facilitator training manuals. Coordinator will be expected to assist with literature reviews to create these materials and also in identifying appropriate measures for participant outcomes and fidelity.

  • Intervention Facilitator: Leads individual and group psychoeducational intervention in research context. This includes following manual, completing intervention checklists, collecting data related to intervention delivery, and optimization of intervention with participant and other clinician feedback.

  • Behavioral Research : Contributes to data collection and interpretation including involvement in qualitative interviews, coding, manuscript preparation, and other key deliverables such as clinical manuals.

  • Contributor to Human Subjects Research: Keeps current with all federal, state, sponsor and institutional policies and laws, standard operating procedures, guidelines, and implements and monitors resulting study changes. Demonstrates accountability for continuous learning in accordance with Good Clinical Practice guidelines. Keeps current with industry standards, best practices, and trends in therapeutic areas relevant to research studies and designs, implements and monitors resulting study changes.

  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Master’s degree preferred

  • 1 year of relevant experience required

  • Experience offering mental health support (including in clinical training/under supervision) preferred

  • Experience in Palliative or Hospice care or with neurologic/serious illness populations preferred

  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to understand, follow and coordinate standard research protocols and procedures required

  • Fully adheres to applicable safety and/or infection control standards required

  • Understands and follows data integrity standards and processes required

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills preferred

  • Highly collaborative, ability to work well in teams preferred

  • Proficient in MS Office (e.g. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), email, internet preferred

  • Data analysis software experience preferred
