KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director, Tax to join our Partner Tax team.Responsibilities:Accountable for the individual income tax compliance, tax counseling, tax projections, tax notices and other financial related support for the partners of the firmReview work papers, tax returns and related work products prepared by staff members for accuracy and conformity with tax law and documentation standardsConduct thorough research on complex tax issues to ensure compliance for partners of the firmCommunicate complex tax concepts clearly and effectively to partners of the firm, both verbally and in writingManage client population with minimum supervision, while actively maintaining multiple touchpoints and conversations with clients throughout the year in addition to managing one or more projects throughout the yearCollaborate effectively with team members on various projects while also demonstrating the ability to work independently to meet deadlines and achieve objectivesAct with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environmentQualifications:Minimum eight years of recent progressive experience reviewing federal and state individual tax returns for clients; preferably within a professional services environmentBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Finance or Accounting is required; Licensed CPA or Enrolled Agent requiredProficient with web-based document storage, income tax software, and Microsoft applications including Teams, Word, Excel, and OutlookStrong written and verbal communication skills, solid research skillsExcellent client management skills with the ability to gain the confidence of the client and communicate complex tax matters in a manner client can understandFlexibility to work extended hours and weekends during peak tax periodsApplicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future; KPMG LLP will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work visa status for this opportunity (no sponsorship is available for H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT, CPT or any other employment-based visa) KPMG LLP and its affiliates and subsidiaries ("KPMG") complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying salary ranges.
