Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in Rochester, New York
Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Rochester, New York. In this long-term contract role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the efficient management of receivables while maintaining strong relationships with commercial clients. This position is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and expertise in collections and cash applications.
Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of accounts receivable, including invoicing, payment tracking, and account reconciliation.
• Conduct commercial collections to ensure timely resolution of outstanding balances.
• Process cash applications accurately and efficiently to update client accounts.
• Monitor and follow up on overdue payments, maintaining consistent communication with clients.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure accurate reporting.
• Prepare regular reports summarizing receivable activities and aging balances.
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions and communications related to collections.
• Assist in streamlining accounts receivable processes to improve efficiency and reduce errors. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts receivable, including commercial collections.
• Strong knowledge of cash applications and billing functions.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for managing client relationships.
• Proficiency in relevant accounting software and tools.
• Ability to analyze and reconcile financial data with attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with general accounting principles and practices.
• Experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred but not required.
