Olmsted County Waste Abatement Technician - Hazardous Waste in Rochester, Minnesota
Job Duties
Under supervision, performs work in the operation of the regional hazardous waste program, and recycling center according to county, state, and federal regulations, and guidelines. Collects and processes hazardous, problem, and recycling materials. Performs routine maintenance and repairs for the Hazardous Waste and Recycling Center facilities and equipment. Performs cleaning activities within the Hazardous Waste complex. Assists other waste abatement areas as needed. Supports a diverse, respectful, and inclusive workplace.
Minimum Education Required
A combination of education and experience equivalent to one (1) year of experience in a related position. Valid driver’s license is required.
Required Special Qualifications:
Successful completion of MPCA training programs within one (1) year of employment.
Successful completion of forklift operators training within one (1) year of employment.
Must be able to work Saturdays.
