Olmsted County Associate Director of Human Resources in Rochester, Minnesota
Job Duties
Under general direction, is responsible for the day-to-day direction of human resources (HR) operations and provides leadership, guidance, and support to staff. Plans, develops, and implements human resources programs, policies, and procedures. In collaboration with the Director of Human Resources, directs the County’s classification plan, compensation system, recruitment, and benefit plans. Assists with labor relations and contract negotiations. Provides advice and consultation to County management and acts in the absence of the director. Leverages the strengths of team members, clarifies roles and responsibilities, and develops employees to reach optimal goals. Supports a diverse, respectful, and inclusive workplace.
Minimum Education Required
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field and three (3) years of experience in a similar position as listed in the work functions in a leadership or supervisory role.
OR
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field and five (5) years of experience in a similar position as listed in the work functions, with three (3) of those years in a leadership or supervisory role.
OR
Combination of education and experience equivalent to nine (9) years of experience in a similar position as listed in the work functions, with three (3) of those years in a leadership or supervisory role.
