FANUC America Corporation Supply Chain Analyst in Rochester Hills, Michigan

Who You Are

The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for using their knowledge of the supply chain to ensure an uninterrupted supply of materials by providing continuous analysis of FANUC America Corporation (FAC) materials and order fulfillment. This position will work with various groups across FAC to ensure materials availability of component inventory and determine the appropriate stocking levels to meet demand requirements.

How It’s Done

  • Use ERP (Oracle) database to run daily planning and evaluate purchase signals by looking at forecasted and firm demand to determine orders to place.

  • Track and enter FANUC order confirmations in Oracle and proactively follow up with FANUC to ensure on-time delivery.

  • Review existing inventory levels and replenishment dates to proactively identify potential shortages.

  • Expedite materials based on changes to lead time, demand or stocking strategies, and follow up on all expedites on a daily basis.

  • Analyze customer demand in Oracle and identity and track the root cause to material shortages; work closely with various groups across FAC to improve materials delivery performance.

  • Analyze usage history, lead times, forecasted requirements, and item setups to maintain appropriate safety stock levels on assigned materials.

  • Interface daily with FANUC Corporation on open orders, expedites and materials availability.

  • Collaborate with purchasing on non-FANUC parts to obtain the best possible supplier performance in terms of supplier on-time delivery, lead-time, and flexibility.

  • Develop, suggest, and implement initiatives with KPI’s that support commitment to customer satisfaction and improve organizational performance.

  • Contribute and assist in developing systems for optimizing inventory levels to lower the number of expedites.

  • Assist in providing reporting and analysis to management as needed.

    What You Need

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Minimum one year of experience in material controls, logistics, industrial, or customer service position within the automation or application industries.

  • Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods

    What Would Be Even Better

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations Management or related field or equivalent experience.

  • Two or more years of experience in Materials Management, Inventory Control, Purchasing or related field.

  • Experience in a manufacturing setting is a plus.

  • APICS or related certification is beneficial.
