UL, LLC Laboratory Technician - Electronics & Materials in Rochester Hills, Michigan

  • Responsible for the operation of laboratory equipment and test fixtures for internal and client projects.

  • Deconstructs electronic devices and components to prepare samples and materials for testing.

  • Operates automated test systems and specialized laboratory equipment according to defined procedures.

  • Follows defined test plans and datasheets to execute testing accurately and consistently.

  • Records observed and calculated data on appropriate forms, data sheets, and reporting templates.

  • Receives guidance from engineers and reports test data to engineering and management teams.

  • Operates machines and tools safely and effectively within defined responsibilities.

  • Ensures laboratory work areas and equipment are maintained in clean, functional condition.

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • 2+ years of work experience in quality, electronics testing, or science fields preferred.

  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Comfort using hand tools, power tools, and/or laboratory equipment.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Strong organization skills.

What we offer:

  • Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career . The estimated salary range for this position is $50,000-60,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 5% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
