UL, LLC Laboratory Technician - Electronics & Materials in Rochester Hills, Michigan
Responsible for the operation of laboratory equipment and test fixtures for internal and client projects.
Deconstructs electronic devices and components to prepare samples and materials for testing.
Operates automated test systems and specialized laboratory equipment according to defined procedures.
Follows defined test plans and datasheets to execute testing accurately and consistently.
Records observed and calculated data on appropriate forms, data sheets, and reporting templates.
Receives guidance from engineers and reports test data to engineering and management teams.
Operates machines and tools safely and effectively within defined responsibilities.
Ensures laboratory work areas and equipment are maintained in clean, functional condition.
High School Diploma or GED required.
2+ years of work experience in quality, electronics testing, or science fields preferred.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Comfort using hand tools, power tools, and/or laboratory equipment.
Strong communication skills.
Strong organization skills.
What we offer:
- Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career . The estimated salary range for this position is $50,000-60,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 5% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
