Job Title: Plant Shift Supervisor
Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Plant Shift Supervisor to join our team. The role involves analyzing and resolving work problems, assisting shift employees, and coordinating department activities. The successful candidate will develop and revise standard operational practices, motivate workers, and ensure compliance with company standards and safety regulations.
Pay: 23.64-$31.87/hr Dependent on Experience
Shift: 2nd 3:00pm to 11:00pm
Responsibilities
Analyze and resolve work problems or assist shift employees in solving work problems.
Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
Develop or revise standard operational and working practices and observe workers to ensure compliance with standards.
Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications and direct setup and adjustments of machines.
Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
Review time and production records.
Perform activities of workers supervised.
Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
Understand safety policies, work safely and report any safety hazards or unsafe conditions.
Follow Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) guidelines.
Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Preventive Control Rules, and Occupational Safety Rules.
Adhere to safe work practices and comply with all company, federal, and state rules and regulations.
Reconcile timecards and work with employee work schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
Anticipate and troubleshoot production and quality issues.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
Proficient in manufacturing processes and safety procedures.
Strong supervisory skills.
At least three (3) years of supervisory experience.
Experience in Peanut Shelling is preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively within teams.
Computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Understanding of safety principles and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Desire for continuous improvement and cost reduction.
Ability to manage employees and resolve personnel issues professionally.
Basic troubleshooting skills for mechanical and electrical issues.
Knowledge or ability to learn the shelling process.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma.
Willingness to work in shifts, including late or early hours, weekends, and overtime if necessary.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.64 - $31.87/hr.
