Job Title: Forklift Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and safety‑minded Forklift Operator to join our peanut shelling operation. This role plays a key part in ensuring production runs smoothly by operating equipment, monitoring machine performance, handling materials, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced industrial setting.
Shift: 7am to 3:30 M-F *need to be open to working 13 days in a row during shelling season*
Pay: 14-15/hr
Responsibilities
Operate production equipment including basic control panels and button‑activated machinery used in the peanut shelling process.
Perform routine machine checks to ensure equipment is running correctly, reporting abnormalities or malfunctions immediately.
Assist with material handling, including loading/unloading product and transporting materials throughout the facility.
Operate a forklift for minor material‑moving tasks (training provided if needed).
Monitor product quality, removing debris, foreign material, or defective product when necessary.
Perform basic troubleshooting and adjustments to keep machines running efficiently.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all sanitation and housekeeping guidelines.
Adhere to all safety protocols, including PPE requirements, lockout/tagout procedures, and safe lifting practices.
Lift and move products or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
Support general production tasks as assigned by supervisors or team leads.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Forklift experience preferred.
Ability to work shifts, including late or early hours, weekends, and overtime.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $22.40/hr.
