WSP USA Quantity Surveyor in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

We are looking for a diligent and experienced Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join our infrastructure supervision team in Saudi Arabia . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost estimation, measurement, and contract administration for highways, roads, bridges, and tunnels . Experience working with consultancies and a good understanding of FIDIC contracts is essential.

  • Prepare and review interim payment applications , final accounts , and BOQ measurements based on site progress.

  • Assist in cost control , cash flow forecasts , and budget tracking during construction.

  • Evaluate and certify variations , claims , and change orders from contractors in coordination with the Contracts Manager.

  • Conduct regular site visits to verify actual work progress and update cost reports accordingly.

  • Ensure all project costs and financial records are accurately maintained and reported.

  • Coordinate with design and supervision teams to ensure cost-effective construction solutions.

  • Provide input during value engineering exercises and cost-benefit analysis .

  • Assist in preparation of tender documents , cost estimates , and procurement evaluations when required.

  • Interpret contract clauses and ensure compliance with FIDIC or similar contract conditions .

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in infrastructure projects.

  • At least 3–5 years of experience in Saudi Arabia or the GCC , preferably in a consultancy role .

  • Strong understanding of road/highway/bridge/tunnel project execution and cost management.

  • Experience working with FIDIC contracts and government authorities (e.g., MOT, Aramco, Royal Commission) in Saudi Arabia.

  • Proficient in quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation , and cost management software (e.g., Candy, CostX, Excel).

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); Arabic is an advantage.

  • Preferred Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurement and cost evaluation.

  • Familiarity with project controls , contract documentation , and technical drawings .

  • Capable of handling multiple packages or contracts under tight timelines.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to liaise with contractors, consultants, and clients.
