Job Description
Team Lead, Shipping & Receiving
Position Summary
A shipping lead oversees shipping operations, managing inventory, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring accurate documentation for shipments. Key responsibilities include handling Hazmat Dangerous Goods, managing ERP databases, supervising material handlers, conducting cycle counts, and maintaining warehouse inventory. They also prepare necessary shipping documents, including those for hazardous materials and international orders. The role requires the above to be accomplished within Tecomet’s principles of continuous improvement, customer driven innovation and a win first culture, while meeting company financial and other performance metrics.

Principle Responsibilities
Follows existing policies, practices, and procedures.
Packages, crates, bundles, prepares product for shipment.
Receives goods based on proper paperwork.
Utilizes judgment in rejecting receipt of potentially damaged good.
Takes ownership when counting inventory for finished goods and sub-assemblies. Utilizes ERP as system of record.
Administers issue/issue return of kits.
Run daily backlog report from ERP system.
Coordinate and manage delivery driver and delivery schedule
Coordinate point of use staging
Procurement of all items as required
Maintain a clean work area – daily shift cleaning.
May be required to be flexible with work schedule.
Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by supervisor.
Qualification Requirements
Credentials/Experience:
High School diploma or general education degree
3-5 years of shipping or receiving experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Identifies and reports quality concerns.
Willingly asks questions and seeks direction.
Effectively gives and receives feedback.
Identifies and reports quality concerns.
Knows and follows all safety requirements.
Good verbal communication skills with internal staff.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office
